Alfred Van Acker

I studied double bass at the Jazz Studio in Antwerp and at the Royal Brussels Conservatory

I played in several bands like “Wim Colemont Trio”, “The Saget All Stars”, “Joey Boogie Band”, “The Smokey Midnight Gang” and many more. I produced several CD’s like : "SMG, Live at the SlowClub,Paris" & "Showtime"


In 2001 I started working for the Royal Ballet of Flanders in the production “De Prehistorie van de Musical”. Later on in the musicals “Doornroosje”, “De Kleine Zeemeemin”for Studio 100 & “Dracula”, “Peter Pan” for Music Hall.
I played also Jazz with “Six on Four” & “Van Nistelrooy Quintet”, Tango with “Cebra Manchada” Folk with “Saltarel”. During all this time I composed and arranged for the bands I was playing with.


At the end of 2006 I scored  “Waiting For Dublin” a film by Roger Tucker. After that I focused myself on a "Master Certificate in Arranging" at the Online Berklee School of Music. I was rewarded with a Berklee "Celebrity Online Scholarship in the name of Michel Camilo".

I finished the "Specialist Certificate in Orchestration for film & TV" at Online Berklee School of Music
